maybe she meant license and registration? and I agree with you.
6 minutes and 46 seconds just flew right over your head
I wouldn’t let someone else cash my winning ticket – couldn’t she have caught a bus or something?
Why do some people refer to a single driver’s license in the plural? As in “I needed my driver’s license, but I could not find them. ”
The defendant seemed like a good guy, especially since he was willing to try to transfer the payment from his state debt to her state debt.
the plaintiff is just a shady heifer, she
knew her nor her husband could cash
that ticket, she should have just walked
away, stupid, stupid, stupid!
I think she has a total New York attitude. They never think they sound rude, but they do.
I guess she honestly thinks she’s smarter than JJ. Wow….
Some of these people are so thick. Just because you say you weren’t trying to screw the system doesn’t mean that that isn’t EXACTLY what you claimed to try and do. DUHHHHH
Idk what all the nonsense about her being a shifty black is about. I think just about anyone who has a family to support is going to do whatever they can to get as much money as possible especially if they have shut off notices. People act like they don’t understand what being poor is. I think the plantiff should’ve gotten her money back especially since his debt was paid or some of it was.
Shit comes in all colors……..now it comes in names too, like POLI****tireL
I don’t understand how she was collecting workman’s comp and her husband was gainfully employed, how did she have shut-off notices? Now unlike the racist “Politirel” who labeled her a “shifty black”, I think she was just stupid!! Yes, she did try to get over on NY and I’m glad NY got their money.
Yes, he did have a winfall and it is certainly unfair. However, that is what I meant by “clean hands doctrine”. Even if he gained an unfair advantage, the courts are unable to help the plaintiff if she herself is not playing straight. JJ had no choice in the matter, legally.
The thing is they probably still both owe thousands, I doubt that 1250 even put a dent in what either of them owe. It appears that the states rules are that if you have an outstanding debt to the state, they take 50% of your lottery winnings or the full amount of your debt, whichever is less. So, I don’t think it got anywhere close to what was paid for on their behalf by the state, it is just a small effort by NY State to recoup some of their losses.
She should’ve thought about that before asking someone else to cash her ticket.
Plaintiff is thick !!!
She wants money?, she should get a job.
