Signing the lottery ticket is the best answer. It’s kinda tough for Ahmed to claim a ticket signed by John Smith.

Not all of them are tickets that you scratch though; you could get a lottery ticket, and you can’t know if you won just by looking at it.

How hard is it to read a scratch off ticket yourself? I don’t feel too bad for people that get ripped off. Read the damn thing yourself.

Entrapping? Wtf? Nobody is making the clerks steal the tickets. Its there decision to rip customers off.

Dude, bust her ass man. Her bad karma extends to you because you’re not doing the right thing and reporting her. Think about all the people she’s screwing over.

This is what law enforcement should be doing ongoing, not just reality TV shows. It can be considered “entrapment”, but the retailers have a contract with the Lottery.

Question: Why not put the lottery computer on the customer side and just advise the customer to scan it themselves.

It’s too easy for employees to swap tickets and the temptation is huge.

As far as Lotto, it’s too easy to leave out a winning ping pong ball, swap it for a weighted or larger ball etc. They police themselves.

Regarding the ones who’ve gotten away with it. I wonder how they live with it.

I work with a girl who does the same thing to customers who don’t know how much they really won…she tells them they won five dollars then goes with the ticket to the High Tier claims.
